The Harrisburg Area YMCA, in Partnership with Pennie, is Kicking Off Their Health Equity Tour at Camp Curtin YMCA in Harrisburg on May 1st
Those interested in learning about all things wellness, including how to find affordable health coverage through Pennie, should visit the YMCA Health Equity Tour.
Harrisburg, PA – April 27 – Pennie & The YMCA will be kicking off their Health Equity Tour event on May 1st at the Camp Curtin YMCA location (2135 North 6th Street) in Harrisburg from 10 am to 3 pm. Those seeking a COVID-19 vaccine and all members of the public are welcome to join this free, in-person event to learn about the YMCA’s evidence-based chronic disease management programs as well as other educational services including COVID-19, dental health, senior health, and lung health, plus much more!

A Health Equity Tour stop is a great place to learn about Pennie, Pennsylvania’s state-based marketplace and the home for affordable, quality health insurance plans. Pennie is the only place to receive financial assistance on health coverage and now, due to the American Rescue Plan, customers have an opportunity to receive significant increases in financial assistance when they enroll at pennie.com.

- Oral Health Education
- Mammogram and Pap Testing Screening
- YMCA’s Evidence-Based Health Intervention
- Mental Health Education

The Pennie/YMCA Health Equity Tour will be holding in-person events throughout the 67 counties in Pennsylvania over the next year. Both Pennie and the YMCA hope these events will help reduce health inequities by providing individual health and health coverage education to combat risk behaviors and to reduce health care barriers to strive toward a healthier, covered Pennsylvania.
