Pennsylvanians Can Learn About Quality Health Coverage Through Pennie® by Visiting the YMCA Health Equity Tour’s Kick Off Event at Camp Curtin in Harrisburg on November 12
Pennsylvanians can visit the YMCA Health Equity Tour to learn about health programs and the high-quality health coverage options through Pennie before January 15.
Harrisburg, PA – November 9, 2022 – Pennie® and the YMCA will be kicking off the Health Equity Tour on November 12 at Camp Curtin (2900 N 6th St, Harrisburg, PA 17110) from 9 am to 12 pm.
Area residents can attend this free, in-person event to learn about a variety of educational health services from the YMCA. It’s a great place to also learn about Pennie, Pennsylvania’s official health insurance marketplace and the only access point for financial savings on coverage and care. Pennie and the YMCA Health Equity Tour will be holding in-person events throughout Pennsylvania over the next several months to conduct health education focused on reducing health disparities and removing barriers to coverage and care. At these events, the YMCA and Pennie will be distributing educational materials about all things wellness, including behavioral health, education, employment, financial services, food insecurity, health systems, housing, insurance, senior care and much more.

Uninsured Pennsylvanians can visit the Health Equity Tour, starting with the event in Harrisburg at Camp Curtin, to learn more about enrolling during Pennie’s Open Enrollment Period. Open Enrollment runs from November 1 to January 15, 2023, with December 15 marking the deadline for coverage beginning New Year’s Day. For those enrolling between December 16 and January 15, coverage will begin February 1, 2023.
